Well, since I'm avoiding the car. I started thinking of what we'd do if we went with something else. I came accross this on ebay. Definitely a way bigger headache than an RX7 but we'd have class. It runs , is in Santa Paula and the bidding is only at $300.

Of course, what you've got there is the Rolls-Royce engined Vanden Plas Princess R 4L. Not an Austin Princess, which was an earlier model with a BMC 3-liter engine.
The "R" was the only car not of Rolls-Royce manufacture to be fitted with an RR engine. The engine is all-aluminium and was exclusive to this car.
